United Way of Broward County Major's Ball

Stan and I were invited by Rick and Rita Case to the United Way of Broward County Major's Ball.  They were also Celebrating 100 years of Broward County.  It was a fun night and we enjoyed it.  I wish I would of won the cruise I bid on, on the silent auction, maybe next time.

He is always so serious, but lately I have to say we are seeing more and more of those pearly whites.

Renaissance Ball

These photo's are from The Renaissance Ball, benefiting the Prestige CLub. That is held every January.   This is a great event and our family enjoyed dressing up for the occasion.  This was also the first year Monica was old enough to go.

Stan's Baby Album Part 1 of 3

Maybe 4...LOL!! As as mentioned before, I'm making an album for my Hubby to give to him on Christmas.  Here are the first 6 pages.

One day cleaning up his piles and piles of paper I found all these photos of him as a child and "BAM!!!! Album time", only at that time I had no mojo what so ever.  One day I made myself sit at my desk and create at least one page, I made the first page then a few weeks went by and I sat again at my desk once again I'm a scrapping.  I'm one happy camper/scrapper.  I needed the therapy.

My first post in over 5 months

I have not been inspired to scrapbook or make cards in over 5 months, I think my mojo is coming back, slowly but surely.

We just came back from an amazing cruise and I have some pretty amazing photos to scrap.

I'm also working on my Stan's baby picture album that I want to give to him for Christmas.

I love scrapbooking and have been doing it for the past 12 years, but I have always kept journals and photos of every major event in my life.  My favorite embellishments are flowers.  I LOVE all kinds of flowers.  There was a time I used them in every single LO I made, now I'm trying different techniques and embellishments, but my when I'm stuck in a page or something does not look right to me I add flowers.

Card Challenge

Good Day or Evening!  It's time for a new card challenge at Off the Rails Scrapbooking.  In honor of St. Patricks Day we a going to create a card using green and some bling!

I created this card using the great kit Joni sent us for this month card club.  LOVE it all.

I misted the doily and the ribbon.  Inked all the edges added a used Martha Stewart's butterfly punches and some pears and bling.

The Story of the Towels!

Friday's challenge for Off the Rail Scrapbooking, this week's challenge is to make your own embellishments.  

The story behind the towels: Stan decides he is going to help me with the laundry, Ha ha!!! so he goes and buys these cheap towels and gives them to all of us from Christmas ( check out Daniel's amused face).  His hope is that we only use those 2 towels each so to only have 10 towels to wash instead of 15 towels every weekend, like his ever done laundry!  Ok so fast forward two months, not only do I have the 15 towels that I have always had now I have 10 more.  Because the new one don't dry so they only use it once and throw it in the hamper.  The concept was great but we need good towels that dry. Cheap towels just don't do the job.  But I love you for trying.
